How to Have What You Want in Life


Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Before even taking the first step is to ‘know what you want’.


Do you know what you want?


Get a job, great.


Get a well paying job, great.


Get a partner, great.


Get an understanding and supportive partner, great.


Get a house, great.


Get a car, great.


Hold down a job, great.


You need to start with something.


Often we wonder through life, hoping, wishing someone will come along and help us, to show us the way. It happens, when you are a child, are you a child now? Some says, always a child inside, waiting for the connection. The connection needs that you know what you want, the end result in mind. We need to know what we want in life before we can take the first step. When we know what we want, we then begins the first step towards it.


Why then do people failed to get what they want after they know what they want? What is stopping them from achieving, realizing what they want? They did not take action, or if they took action, they did not follow through on the action to realization of what they want, why?


Negative Emotion stops you from having what you want. Sometimes, emotion even stops you from knowing what you want. You dare not dream, of having what you want, because of the emotions. What happens if I fail? The pain, the humiliation, what will they say? When we know what we want, the negative emotions stops us.


The question then is, ‘how’ do we remove the negative emotions. How do we remove the emotion so that we can take the first step?


When we have taken the first step, how to continue to take the step after that without the emotions affecting us, the ability to sustain the momentum forward until we realize what we want.


How to let go of emotion is simple, when we know what is actually happening when we feel the emotion, the logic is simple.


When you are, in NLP terminology, ‘associated’, you can have emotion. When you are dis-associated, you cannot have emotion. The good news is that, it is all in your mind, a game of the mind. The HOW to let go of emotions? Play this game, learn how to let go of emotion.

1. Remember a time when you were angry?


2. Feel how the anger feels in your body, where in your body?


3. Now step out of your body, turn and look at your body (imagine).


4. Where is your negative emotion of anger now? Gone?


When you allow your imagination to work with you, you did the 4 simple steps, you can let go of negative emotion of any kind, one at a time, any time so that you can move ahead and figure out what you want in life, or to continue to take action towards what you want in life, by letting go of negative emotions along the way.


This is how to have what you want in life.


1. Know what you want;


2. Know what emotion is stopping you;


3. Know, ‘how to let go of negative emotion’;


4. Take action to let go of emotion to move towards what you want in life.


Simple. It all begins with knowing what you want in life and stick to it. You can have anything you want, when you know exactly what you want and stick to it. The problem with sticking to it, is negative emotions.


Let go of the emotions, you can have all that you want, by first knowing what you want, many may be surprised by this fact, “many people do not know what they want in life”.


Have what you want today.


Begin with knowing what you want then stick to it till you achieve it.
