Tips For Working Out While Traveling

There are many different ways for you to keep to your  work  out  schedule when you are traveling. It doesn’t matter if you are traveling  for  work  or for pleasure. You will be able to whether you are going to Michigan, Florida or even the Sahara Desert!

There is one catch though, you might not always be able to find a luxurious 5 star gym to  work  out  in. You are going to have to learn to make do with what ever you find, where ever find it at. You will always be able to make do with what you have if you are motivated enough.

The following are some  tips  of for helping you to keep  working  out  when you are on the road.

Try to find a hotel that has a gym in it. Many hotels you will find today have gyms with at least treadmills in them to walk or jog on. If you are lucky though, you will be able to find hotels that have deals with local gyms that allow you to  work  out  when you stay at the hotel.

Speaking of local gyms. If you visit a place and the hotel doesn’t have a gym or any deals then don’t sweat it. Simply ask the hotel front desk if they know of any local gyms in the area. Ninety percent of the time they will and most local gyms have one day or multiple day passes. Most one day passes will range you from 10-20 dollars. You should aware though, you will have to pay more if you are in a bigger city such as New York City.

Travel with exercise bands. Sure they might not make you look as cool as lifting heavy weights over your head but it is better than nothing. They are light weight and you are able to perform many different types of routines with just one or two bands. Make sure to note that when you are buying a band that you pay attention to the color. Bands are color coded to let you know their resistance levels. If you are stronger then I would recommend getting “heavy” band as opposed to “light” band. The difference between the light and heavy bands are measured by their resistance to stretching.

Last but not least…use your body. There are so many different types of body weight exercises that it deserves it own article! However, you will want to master a few of the basic ones which are; squats-both single and double leg, lunges, push-ups, pull-ups, calf raises, sit up’s and dips. One place that I find to be ideal for body weight excises are parks that have play equipment for kids on them. You will be able to find a long straight bar for your pull ups and most of the time the ground is a type of rubber padding. This will make it easier on your hands, wrists and back when you are doing push-ups and sit-ups.

These are just a few simple  tips  that I hope you will use to make sure that you continue  work  out  on the road.
