In this article I’m going to provide you with some proven, time tested smallmouth bass
Many years ago my fishing mentor, a trout fishing expert, taught me many of these smallmouth bass
Use The Weather & Moon To Your Advantage – When it comes to smallmouth basstips , this one is one of the most effective. The weather and moon have an incredible impact on the feeding behavior of smallmouth bass (as well as all fish) and knowing how is a great fishingtip . By learning the simple ways that these two forces of Mother Nature impact fishing you will be able to be on the water when the bass are the most active. This makes a huge difference in bite rates.
Use Gang Hooks – There is no better bait for smallmouth bass than live bait, especially live worms. And there is no better way to rig live bait (especially worms) than a set of gang hooks. Gang hooks allow worms to be presented in a completely natural manner, and the more natural your offering appears to the smallmouth the better. Live worms (or synthetic worms such as Berkley Gulp worms) rigged on a set of gang hooks and allowed to flow naturally with the current of a small river or stream is an incredibly effective tactic. As far as smallmouth basstips are concerned, gang hooks are one of the best.
Wear Polarized Sunglasses – Wearing polarized sunglasses while fishing, especially in small rivers and streams is very important. Polarized Sunglasses cut through the glare created by the sun and allow you to see into the water. This is incredibly advantageous to you as an angler. When it comes to polarized sunglasses remember, you get what you pay for. If you buy cheap ones, they won’t work properly; it’s as simple as that. I made this mistake for many years, trying to save a few bucks, and guess what happened? I labored under the delusion that polarized glasses didn’t work. The truth was that I was cheap, and bought cheap glasses. As soon as I finally ponied up and invested $120 bucks in a pair of quality polarized sunglasses I understood what all the fuss was about.
