Spring may be the best time of the year to catch largemouth bass, but lots of fishermen don’t make the most of it. Far too many of us tend to fish the same way day after day, randomly casting along shorelines in a hit or miss fashion. If the bass don’t cooperate, we figure they just aren’t feeding and let it go at that. Sure, we manage to catch a few bass, but that’s because even a blind hog will find an acorn occasionally. If this sounds familiar, it’s time to make some changes. This means giving more thought to things like weather, water temperature and the changing patterns bass adapt to as they go through their long spawning cycles. The following tactics can get you started on the right track. Use them and you’ll not only catch more bass this spring, but you’ll also have a much better shot at hooking into a lunker.
1. Get Started Early:
One thing that bass have in common with us is that they think about spawning a long time before they get around to it. That means largemouths – and especially the biggest females – often begin making forays into shallows to check out spawning areas weeks, even months, before the first leaves appear on the trees. During this prespawn period, it’s not unusual to make outstanding catches in March and April, even February or earlier from the mid-Atlantic states on south. One key is to fish during warm spells in the early spring, especially if these periods last several days. It doesn’t take a heat wave to launch big bass on a feeding spree. Often daytime highs in the upper 50s will do it. Look for two distinct patterns. If it’s still early in the spring, fish points and deeper shorelines in water four to eight feet deep using spinnerbaits, rattling minnow lures, jig n pigs or diving crankbaits. Bass use these mid-depths as transitional staging areas before they move shallow into the shallows. Don’t neglect the shallows, however. Even early, big bass often move inshore, but a cold snap will quickly force them back to deeper water. When you find bass in shallow areas, they’ll be hungry. Try them with spinnerbaits, rattling lures or shallow diving minnow imitations.
2. Fish the Weather Fronts:
Those warm periods in the spring are frequently followed by bitter, fast moving cold fronts. Knowledgeable bass fishermen learn to look for these patterns because the best fishing is likely to occur on the last warm day before that sharp cold front passes through. Sometimes fishing peaks as the wind begins to rise and the weather deteriorates. Ideally, you’d like to start fishing in your shirt sleeves and finish in a goose down jacket. Slow moving fronts that don’t create sharp and rapid drops in temperature aren’t usually as reliable, but they may still provide decent fishing. After a cold front passes you’ll almost invariably have very poor fishing the first couple of cold, clear days.
3. Keep Track of the Water Temperature:
Get a thermometer and use it. Although it is possible to catch early spring bass in nasty weather in 40 degree water, your chances improve greatly after the surface water temperature passes 50 degrees. For many anglers, the magic mark seems to be about 57 degrees. At that point, and as water temperatures rise into the 60s, bass often become more active both in mid-depth staging areas and increasingly in the shallows. Largemouth bass begin active spawning when the water temperature reaches 68 to 72 degrees F, and some bass eat less often when they’re actively bedding. However, all bass don’t spawn at the same time. Even at the peak of spawning there will be plenty of fish still feeding aggressively, including some that haven’t spawned yet and some that may have finished. Where it’s legal, it’s also possible to catch fish while they’re on their beds, although such fish should certainly be released. The trick is to approach quietly and use smaller lures or lightly weighted plastic worms and lizards. Even a bass that’s not feeding will sometimes attack these baits simply to remove the threat.
4. Fish the Correct Side of the Lake:
Bass are especially sensitive to temperature changes at this time of year, and will often seek out spots where the water is only marginally warmer. Your thermometer will help, but knowing where to look will save time. Creeks feeding into lakes often carry rainwater runoff that is warmer than the lake water, and bass tend to gather in and around the mouth of these creeks. Such areas also provide likely spawning grounds. Sunlight and wind also influence surface temperatures, and you’ll often catch more bass in coves and along shorelines on the north and east sides of the lake. Not only do these areas get more afternoon sun, but they are also protected should there be chill winds blowing from the northeast. Only the surface layer will be warmer early in the spring, so don’t be surprised to find bass suspended on top. Look for them on the submerged ridges of long points, in shallow coves and over expansive flats where they may be basking. They may be wary, however, so make long casts. Rattling lures are very effective, and they cover open water quickly.
5. Fish Small Bodies of Water:
One of the most effective tactics in the early spring is to pass up the big lakes and spend more time on smaller waters. Ponds and small lakes warm more quickly because they aren’t as deep, frequently have clearer water and are sheltered from the wind. As a result, small-water bass often become active weeks before they do on large impoundments. Fishing pressure is also often less intense. On a massive lake, you may spend hours fishing spots virtually devoid of fish and not even know it. However, you can fish an entire pond in just a few hours and be relatively sure that big bass will at least see your offerings.
6. Don’t Pass Up Murky Water:
You might want to avoid lakes the color of red mud, but moderately stained water with a greenish tinge is better than water that’s too clear. Bass can see lures surprisingly well in all but the muddiest water, and they can hear even better. If other conditions are favorable, don’t let a little mud deter you. Bright, noisy rattling lures and spinnerbaits are your best bets, and chartreuse is probably the best color. Silver also seems to work well, and black is surprisingly visible in muddy water.
7. Pay Attention to the Bottom:
Even many knowledgeable bass fishermen overlook this vital factor. When bass move into the shallows, they’re looking for food and also an ideal spot to fan out a bed. For spawning, bass will seek out a sandy or pea-size gravel bottom before they settle for anything else. You won’t find bass spawning on solid rock or bottoms that are too soft and mucky from accumulated silt. How do you determine what you can’t see? If possible, fish where you’ve caught spawning fish before in previous years. Otherwise, you can often identify the type of bottom by looking at the nearby shoreline. The residue on your anchor may also give you a clue, or you can probe shallow spots with a paddle. Even your depth sounder will help by distinguishing the rock or muck best avoided.
8. Don’t Overlook Cover:
Fishing the right cover is the most important tactics at this time of year. Early in the season before bass go shallow, those deeper staging areas almost always have plenty of stumps, brush or rough bottom structure. As the season progresses and bass begin to move towards the shallows, you’ll want to concentrate on a different type of cover. High water is common in the spring, and you’ll often find bass in flooded brush, willows and trees on points. Fish the tip of a point and both sides, then get in close and cast among the trees and stumps, if possible. Be sure to fish flooded stands of willows and other similar brush in the backs of coves. Bass love to spawn in these areas, and the biggest females will move in earlier than you might expect. Fish flooded brush and willows first by probing the outer edges with lipped crankbaits and rattling lures, then move in close and fish the thickest cover using spinnerbaits and jig n pigs, both of which are nearly weedless. Weighted soft plastic lizards, Texas rigged, are also effective in heavy, shallow cover.
9. Fish Close:
Think of spring bass fishing as hand to hand combat. With few exceptions, you’ve got to mix it up inside to be effective, especially after the fish have moved into the shallows around heavy cover to spawn. Make short, accurate casts into and under willows and clumps of grass or other cover. This is also where flipping is effective. Spinnerbaits, jig n pigs and lizards are your tools now, and you want stout rods and strong line – at least 20 pound test – for muscling whoppers out of cover. There’s one other tactic that you definitely don’t want to overlook in the early spring, and it may come as a surprise. Many weeks before traditional topwater lures begin to be effective, bass often show a fatal attraction for buzzbaits, those splashy, gurgling surface spinnerbaits with the huge blades. Even very early, whopper largemouths will often eat these lures when they won’t hit anything else. Fish buzzbaits close around cover (they seldom hang up) or make long casts over flats. Use a steady or slightly erratic retrieve, but keep them moving.
10. Stick To Proven Lures:
You can cover every spring situation with a selection of spinnerbaits, rattling lures, jig n pigs, buzzbaits, soft lizards and shallow and deep diving crankbaits, but you may not need them all. Of these, the spinnerbait will handle both heavy cover and mid-depths, whereas the rattling lure is a superb choice everywhere except in the thickest cover.

There are five key things you need to know before heading off to the Tattoo Parlor
on tattoo appointment day. This article will cover those five key points to help ensure
that when you finally put ink to skin, you are completely ready and do not have any
last minute snags in your tattoo plan.
I have to admit, the first time I went to get a tattoo, I was pretty nervous, I
absolutely had no idea what to expect at all and I was really wondering just “How
painful is this going to be?”
Looking back on my tattoos now, and since I have undergone numerous tattoos,
I know what to expect, and what to prepare for when it comes to Tattoo Appointment
day.
Here five Tattooing Tips – Preparing for Tattoo Appointment Day
1) Tip 1: No Booze! I know you are nervous and you would not mind ‘numbing’ the pain with a few shots of liquor before you go. But doing this or any kind of drugs is a big no-no.
Alcohol thins the blood and thinner blood bleeds easier and takes longer to heal. Sure it
might make it a little less painful, but bleeding like a stuck pig will make it more difficult
for the tattoo artist to do his thing. You want the artist to have a ‘clean’ slate to work with
and do not want him to have to battle with you bleeding all over the place every time he puts
ink to skin. A tattoo that bleeds a lot is also messier to heal, which can result in a flawed
“end result” tattoo.
2) Tip 2: Go in super clean! Take your your daily shower just before your tattoo appointment. If you are like me and have to have a shower every morning regardless, then either schedule your tattoo appointment shortly after you wake up or just take another one right before you
visit the tattoo parlor. The Tattoo artist is going to be right up on you, and you want them to be extremely comfortable there. If you smell, at all, it is going to be a major distraction to the tattoo artist and they probably will not do as good of a job. Do not wear heavy perfume or cologne either, just nice clean skin.
Also keep in mind that post tattoo, you do not want to get your tattoo wet, especially right after having it done. Get clean first.
3) Tip 3: Wear comfortable clothes to your appointment! If your clothing is going to cover the tattoo, don’t wear white. A little blood could get on your clothes from the bandage and, well, we all know what blood does to white . I also recommend wearing loose fitting clothes so they won’t be too tight on the sore tattoo . If you are a woman and you are getting a tattoo on your arm, you might consider wearing a tank top so you don’t have to remove your shirt, although you probably won’t hear any complaints form the tattoo artist.
4 ) Tip 4: Take a DISTRACTION for yourself. Bring something with you to take your mind off having the tattoo done. A MP3 player is of course a good idea, as well as a book or magazine. Most tattoo artists ( like mine ) will talk to you during the process, but sometimes it is hard to hear over
the buzzing of the tattoo gun, and the shooting pain.
5 ) Tip 5: Eat something before you go. Some people can get light headed and even faint while having a tattoo put on, and having food on your stomach will help. Also, it takes a while, typically a couple hours, for even small tattoos to be put on. You do not want to be hungry on top of enduring the tattoo application.
Alright, those are my five tips to preparing for tattoo appointment day. I hope this article has been informative and will help make your first tattoo experience more pleasurable . How can my punching tips help you? Firstly, you’re not just going to gain the ability to punch someone with more force and less effort than an improper punch but your going to learn how to strike someone with other parts of your body which will improve your all round ability to defend yourself.
As a child I was bullied on a frequent basis. I was never one of the popular children and I was regularly beaten up. Even when I started martial arts classes I was still picked on. The whole purpose of my attending these classes was so I could defend myself as and when the bigger kids decided to attack me. I stuck with the classes in hope that one day my skills would improve to a level that even when someone bigger than me attacked, I would have the ability to fend them off with a variety of different techniques.
By the time I left school, the punching tips I hade learned from my martial arts training were enough to barely fend off an attacker, but I still didn’t feel in control of these fights. Then I discovered some punching tips and striking tips that literally changed my life. I went from being barely able to defend myself against a larger attacker, to being able to destroy anyone who chose to pick a fight with me. I went from being “mr average” in the dojo, to being the top dog that nobody wanted to fight against. I also went from being a frequent early casualty in the martial arts tournament, to being a regular and consistent winner. I had literally changed my life! These punching tips and striking tips that I learned gave me the ability to walk the streets at night with confidence. Gone were the days I had to worry about who was around the corner, or who was coming up behind me. I went from being the guy that most people could just about beat up, to being the guy that has never been beaten up…since I learned these very effective punching tips and striking tips.
Not only was I able to defend myself, but my all round confidence grew as well. I became a much happier and a much more confident person. In turn this has improved my family life, improved my love life and improved my social life. But probably the greatest of all, these punching tips have also improved the life of the people around me. When I first discovered these incredible techniques I wanted to keep them to myself. Quite selfish I know. After years of living in the shadows I had the ability to stand out from the crowd, to fend off attackers and win martial arts tournaments. I wanted to keep it all to myself!
This was until a day came I decided I didn’t want to be selfish anymore. My best friend was walking home from the pub alone one night when he was attacked and beaten up pretty badly. I felt guilty that I hadn’t shared what I had learned with him. He wasn’t a martial artist but you don’t have to be to implement these techniques. It was at this point I decided I wanted to share what I knew with the people around me. Today, I can say with confidence that if any of my close friends or family were to come under attack, they would be very capable of fending off their attacker(s). REGARDLESS of age or gender…these techniques can help you if you’re male, if you’re female, if you’re a teenager, if you’re retired or even if you are a trained martial artist like me.
With the world that we live in today, I don’t just want my friends and family to be able to protect themself, I want YOU to be able to protect YOURSELF!!!! I want you to have confidence in your ability to defend yourself and I want you to share this with YOUR friends and family!

Are you looking for free safety tips? You’re in luck because you stumbled upon this article. This article will specifically provide tips for women who live alone. This is quite timely considering the fact that there are a lot of women living alone. Just in the US alone last 2010, there were 59,165,000 single women living across the US and roughly 17,427,000 of them are living alone. You can now see why there are a lot of women being victimized by robbers, rapists, and other criminals.
If you’re a woman and you’re living alone, here are some free safety tips for you:
1. Get someone to live with you.
Get a boyfriend or get married. You will drastically lower the chances of you getting victimized in your own home if there’s a man in the house. If there’s no one special yet, get someone to split the rent with you.
2. Get a dog.
Having a dog is like having a security alarm system. While getting a security alarm system is a good idea, you may not have a budget for it. Head over to the pound and adopt a dog. You can also get a security camera to complement your dog. If you don’t have a budget for a security camera, a dog can work as well.
3. Secure all entry points.
Secure your doors. This means adding more locks. It’s also a good idea to add locks from the inside. In addition, install a peephole so you don’t have to unlock the door just to see who’s knocking on the door. While you’re at it, make sure to secure the windows as well. Being on the 4th floor of an apartment complex is not reason enough for you to feel secure that no one’s going to climb in your window.
4. Give the impression that you don’t live alone.
There’s a gadget that you can buy that can distort your voice. If your phone rings and you’re not expecting any call, turn it on and make it sound like you’re a guy who lives in the same house. A lot of criminals call in advance to gauge if everything’s clear. If that’s not an option right now, make sure to invite friends over regularly.
5. Learn self-defense.
Here’s one of the best free safety tips. Learn how to defend yourself! Did you know that there are a lot of things inside your home that you can use as self-defense weapons?
With these free safety tips, you can drastically reduce the chances of you falling victim to a crime.
AdSense is a double-edged sword; sure, it can earn you money but it can also be a distraction. Picture this:
You have a new website and you’ve been accepted by AdSense so you rush off to generate the code and install it on your site. Perfect, you think, the money will soon come rolling in. WRONG! It won’t and this is why.
Tip #1 AdSense don’t disclose which niches have the best Click Through Ratio (CTR). (By the way CTR is clicks divided by page views so if you have 10 clicks from 100 page views, your CTR is 10% – that’s actually extremely high, so is just an example.)
Tip #2 If you have a new website, you probably don’t get more than 10 visitors a day which equates to 30 per month. Even if your CTR is 10%, you have had 3 clicks and unless you’re in a very high value niche, you have just earned around $0.30
Tip #3 The average CTR is probably between 0.5 and 2%, if you’re lucky, so look at this another way, you didn’t earn anything like $0.30 cents in the month.
Tip #4 Don’t let AdSense distract you! I remember when I first started, I couldn’t wait to look at my AdSense account to see how much I was earning and when I discovered it was virtually nothing, I thought that maybe the ad positions or colours or content were wrong, so I moved them and changed them but the income didn’t get any bigger because I didn’t have the traffic and I was wasting time that I could have used to create content.
Tip #5 Did I mention content? Well I will now because it’s the life-blood of a website, particularly one that aspires to earn with AdSense. Unique, informative content is paramount.
Tip #6 Don’t expect to make money from a news or review site which just regurgitates what others have already reported. You won’t get the traffic because the big boys who originated the content will have already got the audience.
Tip #7 Don’t write a personal blog because nobody cares and you won’t get traffic except maybe from your friends. Celebrities can get away with it because people are interested in the minutiae of their lives but AdSense ads won’t be focused if you use only personal content.
Tip #8 If you want to suddenly attract traffic, you need a hook. Make videos using a funny voice or with your dog doing tricks or your cat performing for the camera – that will make people watch your videos and visit your site.
Tip #9 Create your website and populate it with great content before you ever install AdSense; you will already have traffic and you won’t be distracted from your main purpose.
Tip #10 Just work at it. Create content regularly which helps people and which they want to read; that’s the only way you’ll attract traffic to your site and revenue from AdSense
So, I hope these AdSense tips will help you to focus on your content and forget those measly few cents for the time being.

As a person who has been fishing in rivers, especially small rivers that need to be waded to be fished effectively (mainly for trout or small mouth bass) it occurs to me that catching fish in cold weather can be a difficult proposition. In fact in many cases catching fish while river fishing during the months of December, January, and February can be so difficult that many anglers don’t even bother to try. Fish can be caught while river fishing in cold weather, it’s just the the rules are different than they are at other times of the year.
In this article I will discuss a few river fishing tips to help you catch more fish during the cold weather months of December, January, and February. The first of the river fishing tips to consider concerning fishing in cold weather is where the fish are located within the river system itself. During warm months when the water temperatures are warmer, fish are found throughout the river system. Fish can be found in pools, runs, and riffles during months other than January, February, and March, whereas during the cold weather months fish tend to congregate together in the deepest pools within the river. The biggest mistake fishermen make when attempting to river fish in cold weather is fishing in the same area’s that they catch fish during other times of the year. When the weather is cold concentrate your time on the deepest pools in the river and fish these pools very thoroughly.
The next tip for catching fish when the weather is cold is obvious, but is nonetheless an extremely valid tip. You always want to be prepared for the weather when fishing in cold weather, and depending on your favorite style of fishing the most important part of your body to keep warm is probably your hands. Nothing can ruin a perfectly good fishing trip like cold hands, which is where a quality pair of fishing gloves and/or glove liners comes in to play. Glove liners can act as “fingerless gloves” as well, which is nice for being able to feel your fishing line for tying knots or feeling for bites while fishing and then when the fishing is over you simply slip your warm gloves over your glove liners to keep your hands warm and toasty. Wearing a beanie style cap is also very helpful for keeping your whole body warm when fishing in cold weather and is something that every cold weather fisherman shouldn’t be without, seeing as how ninety percent of your body heat escapes through your head when the temperatures are cold.
The next of the river fishing tips that I want to discuss in regards to fishing in cold weather is the size of the bait or lure that you use. In the cold weather months of January, February, and March water temperatures become extremely cold and because fish are cold blooded creatures, their metabolism slows down considerably. This means that the fish don’t feed as often due to their slow metabolism and means that you want to downsize your baits when fishing in cold weather. For example rather than using an entire live worm as bait in cold weather just use a two inch section of a worm or rather than using a half ounce Rooster Tail use one that is 1/16 of an ounce and plan on “working harder” for each and every bite that you receive. In cold weather it is often necessary to put your offering literally in front of the fishes nose to get the fish to bite, which means that you usually have to make a lot more casts than you might be used to.
Keep these simple river fishing tips in mind the next time that you head out in search of fish when the temperatures are cold. They will not only help you to experience more success, they will help you be much more comfortable as well.
When you’re younger, it’s easy to look at “old lady” clothes and exclaim that you’ll never wear them, but in order to age gracefully, you should change your style somewhat as you age.
In other words, while it’s OK to reject the idea that you should dress like an older person (no matter how old you are), not changing your style can do more than you might think to draw attention to your age.
Let’s look at some good tips for looking younger through your fashion choices.
Change it up
First, many women fall into the common trap of sticking with a style that was once flattering long after it is flattering. For example, you might have found a style that worked beautifully for you when you were in your 20s.
The trouble with sticking with that style is two-fold – first, it’s likely out of style by the time you hit your 40s and it might simply be “too young” for you which will draw attention to your current age, which is completely contrary to what you’re trying to do.
Pay attention to season
To look young and stylish, it’s important to change your wardrobe with each season. That means paying attention to what’s in style, what’s new for each season and making appropriate changes.
In fact, think about making just one small change each season. Perhaps you like those clothes from your 20s and think they are perfectly in style for today’s times. But if you add a large scarf in the color of the season, or a fashionable new bag, you can be sure that your style is current and young.
Be appropriate
Dressing to look younger doesn’t mean wearing tummy-bearing tops and heels that are just too high. That only draws attention to the fact that you are not in your 20s anymore.
Instead, look at the best dressed young women you know. Pay attention to how they dress. It’s likely that if they are nicely dressed young women, you can get some clues from them. Maybe it’s a graphic T shirt that’s got a little more youth to it than your plain T. Maybe it’s jeans with some design on them. Both of these can add a youthful spirit to your look without looking inappropriate.
When in doubt, go traditional
Now, by traditional we don’t mean Chanel and polyester suits all the time. Not at all. In fact, that kind of dressing can make you look older (especially if you have also not updated your hair or makeup).
By traditional, we mean stick with the basics. If the thought of injecting too much youth into your wardrobe seems overwhelming, then don’t.
Instead, stock your closet with basics built around particular colors. If you love to wear black, focus on purchasing basics in black and white perhaps with red also thrown in for good measure.
Each season, add that trendy item we talked about (the bag that’s stylish right now, the large scarf, the patent belt) and you will immediately look not only pulled together, but in style as well. And that goes a long way toward making you look younger.
Hopefully you have gleaned some good ideas for keeping your style, current and young.

When you are a soccer coach, it’s necessary for you to be aware of the important soccer training
By teaching your players some important
Train your players to continuously move the ball with one or two touches: In a team setting, this is called inter-passing. Guide the players to play the ball with speed and make hard solid passes, whether it’s a 3 meter or 20 meter pass.
Play the ball and keep progressing: Playing and moving controls the basic idea behind making runs. But the important thing here is to make sure that these runs open up goal scoring opportunities and make spaces for the other team members.
Soccer skills are primarily aimed at developing kid’s ability to create goal scoring options. Here, you must set up your defender. Guide your players almost to move in towards the defender, as if he or she is going to be able to capture the ball, then give it and go, accelerate into the open space to receive or return the pass.
Your players should be taught to change their pace once they’ve made a move to beat their opponent. They should quickly attack and try to keep the ball moving as fast as possible. As soon as they get an opportunity to break, they should strike back with some accurate passes.
Train players to keep the ball close to their feet when controlling the ball: One of the soccer training
Get the cross in: During the first half of the game, take shots on the goal and observe the goalkeeper throughout. As you know, search engine optimization is ever changing. We are about to enter into 2010 within a month. Here are few
1. Don’ t stick to your strategies: Meta keywords, paid links, keyword stuffing are the practices that worked in 90’s and early 2000’s. Search engine algorithms are changing and if you stick to the outdated strategies, then one day your site may no longer rank in the previous postition and wipe out your business over night.
Just because your tactics worked 3 years ago, it doesn’t mean you can continue applying the same strategies in the future and get the same level of success.
See that you always run test projects in parallel to your main projects. Implement the strategies that worked in your test projects to your main projects.
2. Be aware of competitors: We are into online business. We may wake up a morning and find a new, powerful competitor. Just because that you are at #1 for your targeted keywords, doesn’t mean your competitors are not working and you will remain in same position in future too. No website is at its full position. There is always a room for improvement in the form of traffic and conversions.
3. Learn from mistakes: SEO requires lot of trial and error work. As you gain experience, you get a feel of what works and what doesn’t and you will more likely make a right decision under a circumstance.
4. Try different Strategies: The main goal of an SEO campaign is to convert a lead. A successful campaign can be attained when integrated together with other campaigns. Think about attracting visitors that are at an early stage of buying cycle. Think about methods to get them sign up for your newsletter and blog.
5. Pay attention to what’s going on in search world: I think there is a good chance of Bing becoming a serious competitor in future. So it is good time to invest your SEO efforts toward Bing. Be updated with Google and other search engines’ algorithm changes by subscribing to blogs like SEOmoz and Search engine land.
No matter what type of fish you enjoy fishing for; there are some simple things that any angler can do to help them catch more fish. In this article, I’m going to discuss some of those fishing
Before we begin, let me mention that in my opinion fishing is just like anything in life. The more time you invest in it, the more successful you will be. This means that there is no substitute for spending time on the water and spending some time reading things (such as this article). Every little “tidbit” of information that you can add to your repertoire, might be the difference between a trophy and getting “skunked”. That being said, let’s get down to business, shall we?
Use Gang Hooks – If you are a live bait angler (especially live worms) then gang hooks should always be employed. Gang hooks arte simply a pair of small hooks tied in tandem, this enabling the angler to present live bait (and especially live worms) in a completely realistic and natural manner. The results can be quite amazing. Presenting your live bait in the most natural way possible makes a HUGE difference in bite rates.
Use Mother Nature To Your Advantage – If you want to catch more fish you need to use the weather and moon to your advantage as an angler. These two forces of Mother Nature have as much to do with you catching fish as the type of bait or lure you choose to employ. There are simple rules that need to be learned and used that will enable you to be on the water when the fish are the most active. This will make a huge difference in the amount of fish that are caught. My mentor always used the weather and moon to his advantage, and you should as well.
These simple, yet amazingly helpful and effective
If you are a hairdresser, waiter or waitress or if you work at a barber shop, golf course, hotel, casino or drive a taxicab, the money you receive from those services is taxable income. Did you know?
1) Your Tip income is taxable. The additional income you receive from working as a hairdresser, waiter or waitress are subject to federal income tax as well as Social Security and Medicare taxes. It may also be subject to state income tax as well. The value of non-cash additional income, such as from tickets or trinkets, is income and is also subject to federal income tax.
2) You need to report your tip income to your employer. If you receive twenty dollars or more in additional income in any given month then you should report the amount you receive to your employer. Your employer in turn is then required to withhold federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare taxes from each of your paychecks.
3) Make sure to keep a daily log of your tip income. You can use IRS Publication 1244, Employee’s Daily Record of Tips to record your additional income. This special IRS publication can be found at the IRS website at irs.gov
4) You must include your tip income on your tax return. You must include in income all additional cash you receive directly from customers, or that is added to credit cards, and the share of any that you receive under a tip-splitting arrangement with your fellow co-workers/employees.
Please check out IRS Publication 531, or IRS Publication 3148 for more information. You can find these forms and more at the IRS website.
As the fall swings into high gear many types of fishing really start to heat up. As a matter of fact the fall can be the best time of the year for fishing and I’ve personally caught most of my “trophy” fish during the fall fishing season. In this article I will provide you with some great fall fishing
During the fall of the year, many outdoors peoples attention turn to football, hunting, and/or getting ready for winter sports, rather than fishing, and this is a mistake. Don’t put your fishing gear away just because the leaves start to change color and the air becomes a bit cooler.
